20 Minute, 40 Minute or 60 Minute Classes

This ESL WIZ conversation program is aimed at students’ age 16 years and upwards. The goal of the course is to improve students’ speaking and listening skills as well as building vocabulary. We aim to develop students’ fluency allowing them to express themselves using everyday conversational English.

 

The program has 4 levels, ranging from pre-intermediate to advanced. Classes are taught online using our specially customized software. All classes will be taught one-to-one by native English speakers and last for 20 to 60 minutes. We have a team of experienced teachers who edit and write our lesson material


We provide many interesting topics and activities to make our classes both fun and informative. We aim to make you feel comfortable and at ease in conversation and build your confidence!

 

One-To-One Conversation Program

Level 1- Pre-Intermediate

This level is designed for students with a good knowledge and understanding of the basics of English grammar and also a basic vocabulary..

Students beginning at this level have studied English but have not had the chance to practice their oral English very much. Consequently, we help students to be able to express themselves starting with basic everyday situations and then expanding out to discuss a number of common topics. We also make sure students apply their knowledge of basic grammatical structures.

Course Targets

  1. To be able to introduce yourself
  2. To express your likes and dislikes
  3. To refer to days, dates

Grammar Targets

To be proficient in the use of:

  1. The present progressive tense
  2. The simple future and past tenses
  3. Basic prepositions.
  4. Countable and uncountable Nouns.

Main Discussion Topics

  1. Hobbies and interests
  2. Family
  3. Clothes
  4. Future plans

Level 2- Intermediate

Students of this level can build on an understanding of basic phrases and situational vocabulary to further develop their level of expression. They will be encouraged to talk about themselves and express their opinions in more than just basic sentence patterns.

Students will able to practice using new vocabulary within the correct context through the use of dialogues, role plays and conversation questions with their native English speaking teacher.

Course Targets

1) To express your opinion with a range of common expressions.
2) To ask questions to find out more detailed information.
3) To give and receive advice and make suggestions.

Grammar Targets

To be proficient in the use of:

  1. Comparatives and superlatives
  2. Present perfect
  3. Modals
  4. Passive voice
  5. Reported speech

  1. Giving advice
  2. Money
  3. Shopping

Level 3- Upper-Intermediate

Students of this level will be able to confidently deal with a variety of everyday situations and have a good understanding of functional English. They will be able to build on this foundation to be able to express themselves more confidently using more advanced vocabulary and expressions.

We will start looking at Idioms and phrasal verbs suited to common everyday situations. We will also begin to develop how students can support their opinion or argument in a discussion.

Course Targets

  1. To justify your opinion and create a supporting argument.
  2. To make use of expressions related to a number of topics.
  3. To start to use some common idioms and phrasal verbs in the correct context.

Grammar Targets

To be proficient in the use of:

  1. Present Perfect and present perfect progressive
  2. Conditionals

Main Discussion Topics

  1. Travel
  2. Feelings and emotions
  3. Diet and fitness
  4. Fame

Level 4- Advance

Students will have a good level of fluency and be able to express themselves on a range of topics and issues. We will look at current affairs and events from the news and the issues they discuss. Students will be encouraged to talk at length about their opinions and to structure their views or arguments effectively

We will also look at some more advanced grammatical structures and vocabulary including the use of the different types of conditional sentences.

  1. To be able to understand a variety of viewpoints regarding many issues

  2. To be able to weigh the pros and cons of different viewpoints and arguments

  3. To be able to comfortably converse on a range of topics.

Grammar Targets

To be proficient in the use of:

  1. Conditionals (All forms)

  2. Sentence structures for linking ideas.
